Summer Giveaway #6) "Cows Can't Jump" Children's Book Review & Giveaway!

I grew up reading book after book and loving to read, and I want my children to do the same! But I do feel like it's important for each book they read to have some sort of learning experience, or story that will help them to learn something new from reading it! When I discovered this ADORABLE book "Cows Can't Jump" by Dave Reisman, I had to find out more about it. I took a look at their website and viewed the sample pages provided, and I immediately contacted them about a review. When they agreed, I was so so excited!

"Cow's Can't Jump" is a fully-illustrated, 44 page book for young readers. The book introduces many useful verbs (stampede, fly, wallow, among many others). It also introduces all kinds of unique animals – lizards, bats, and sloths, in an innovative and positive environment. As you can see from the title, the book talks about things that different animals can’t do. However, for every single can’t, there is also a can.

This book is a great way to teach self esteem to young children. The book states over and over many things that the animals can't do, but then immediately lists something that they are great at! It is a perfect way to teach children that even though they might not be able to do something that they would like to do, they have their own special talents and abilities that are unique to only them! Like trying to feed a piggy in a book... :)

This book is so great because even with {B} being too young to actually read or even really understand, he still absolutely LOVED the book at 15 months old. He is just starting to learn his animals and animal sounds, so we were able to point at each picture and make all of the noises each one makes, and he loved all of the illustrations. Jason Maas is the brilliant illustrator of the book. His creative artistry of each animal is amazing. The expressions on the animals faces, and the colors of each page are just astounding. This is as much an adult book as it is a kid book, it really is up there on my favorites list of kids books!


If you need the perfect bedtime book for you and your family, you will definitely want to invest in this one. It is long enough that your child will actually have time to fall asleep, and it even ends like all bedtime books should, with the character falling asleep. :)

Summer Days Review: My Baby Rocks- Review

I've said it before, and I will say it again- finding unique, stylish and non-disney/sports/cars clothing and accessories for boys is hard sometimes! Or maybe you just like a somewhat edgier style for your little girl? My Baby Rocks is a baby/children online boutique that has TONS of awesome stuff for little guys and girlies! They have all sorts of different clothing, hats, and accessories with bright colors and a punk rock, alternative fashion sense. They even offer a new line of clothing that is completely organic! No matter what you are looking for ( aside from trains and puppies), My Baby Rocks will have something for everybody, from your newest baby to your running around, talking back toddler. We were sent a grab bag of goodies from My Baby Rocks, and they couldn't have selected anything better for {B} to review! I absolutely loved the Aviator Rockstar Ringer One Piece that they sent! We all know that onesies are always important in a baby's wardrobe, and you can never have too many of them! But why not dress them up and make them a little more fun and a little more stylin'? How about this one piece tuxedo onesie? To die for!!! The quality on both onesies is amazing. Even after washing and drying, the onesies hold up so nicely. The printing and wording does not crack or peel, and the materials stay just as soft as they came.

We also loved this Born to Rock T-shirt! {B] looked awesome in it, and we get tons of compliments on it every time he wears it! It is light weight ( perfect for our North Carolina horribly hot summers), and one thing I loved about it is that its long! You know how some childrens shirts are short and wide? None of that here. It is perfect for [B's} slender build, and looks just so cute on him.

Summer Giveaways #5) Jefferies Socks Review & Giveaway!

Finding cute, unique, durable and affordable socks can seem impossible at times! When I was contacted about doing a review for Jefferies Socks, I had no idea how awesome SOCKS could be! I mean, socks, really? Once I checked out the website to see what they were all about ( and spent a good amount of time on there) I was thrilled to be able to review for them!

These are little man socks! :) They looked so great on him and they will be perfect for church!

We also reviewed the Skate Zone Triple Treat set of 3 pairs of socks! They are great for active play, and just hanging around the house! So nice to have something other than cars or monsters. My husband even thought these socks were pretty awesome.

Two other sets we were lucky to review were the Side stripe Low Cut, and the Sport Quarter Half Cushion Seamless socks! The side stripe socks are great for those low cute tennis shoes. They are thinner, so great for those tighter fitting shoes! The Seamless socks are amazing. They are made with a nice thick Cotton/polyester, are nice and soft and cushiony, and have no seam! Now your kids can't complain about that annoying lump in their toe!

Summer Days Review: Agoo Leg Huggers Review

I find that the hotter it gets in the summer, the less clothing I want to put {B} in (without making him go naked, of course.) My next step in the review was to wash and dry them and see how they held up. I was really excited to see that they did not shrink at all, and the colors stayed just as bright after a few washes and dries. In the past I had used other baby leg warmers that had either shrunk or faded, but these did neither. They also are just as soft as the day we got them.
