YAY! PLANES DVD- Review & Giveaway

{B} is in that prime stage of his life right now where he is learning and loving everything about all kinds of vehicles...cars, planes, trains, you name it! He is learning to make the sounds they all make, and it is just so fun to watch him get excited about the things around us.

{B} and I travel back to Utah a lot, so he is used to flying on airplanes and has been a great travel companion since birth. He knows what planes are, and gets excited when he sees them. He even remembers certain things about planes when we get on them, like the seatbelts that unbuckle really easy, the buttons he can push above our heads ( sorry about that flight attendants), and the sliding sun shades. He gets excited when I tell him we are going on a plane, and loves watching the planes land and take off as we sit in the airports.

When I came across the YAY! PLANES website and saw that they have a DVD especially for airplane lovers, I had to contact them. YAY! PLANES is an interactive DVD for children ranging from 2-5 ( although {B} is only 18 months and is totally in to it). Children will follow along two silly socks who live in the luggage, and teach kids about different types of planes, as well as the things you might see while flying. Kids will also learn to spell different words that the socks will teach them throughout the show.

When I watched this DVD with my son, he didn't take his eyes off the screen. He loved the sounds, watching the planes take off, seeing helicopters and dancing to the songs! I also have to mention that the YAY! PLANES theme song is totally addicting. I noticed myself singing it this morning as I was curling my hair. Oh, the things we do ( and sing) for our children! IKEA, you've done it again.

As the Fall approaches, I have pleaded with myself to become more organized and LESS cluttered. One day, one drawer, one corner at a time. And today I started with something that has haunted me since we moved here to NC...my bathroom TOP DRAWER. The DREADED top drawer. You know the one i'm talking about. The one with your toothpaste, toothbrush, makeup, jewelry, old positive pregnancy test (what?! that was in there??) And the list goes on. When I was in Utah visiting a few weeks ago, I kept this friendly drawer in mind, and I set off to IKEA, the place that has solved many of my life's problems since I have been married. The place with furniture that I can afford, silverware that I am obsessed with, and the napkin holder that holds a special place in my heart. But this trip I set out to find something that would save my life ( literally, this drawer has nearly killed me at times.) And when I found it, it was love at first site.The little beauty fits right in, almost like it was made for this drawer. Its the perfect size for makeup brushes, toothbrushes, all your little eyeshadows and even old pregnancy tests ( I relocated mine after this cleanout... to a safer place!) This little gem even comes with a lid...which I chose not to use since I am in the drawer mutliple times a day. But you get the picture.
