So, as my first official "real post" I wanted to do something fun for the upcoming holiday, and something that would be worth reading about! So Im going to post 5 of my favorite Valentine's craft tutorials that you can do at home, that wont break the bank, and that are ADORABLE! Hope you like them! Click on the links for the complete tutorials.
These little blocks are my favorite! I am actually doing them tomorrow morning so I will definitely let you know how it goes! Brown Paper Packages is an adorable blog with tons and tons of different craft tutorials. Just a side note- I bought the wood at Home depot and it only cost me $1.09 for 4 blocks ( she only has 3 pictured but im adding one other with XOXO). If you go to Michaels or AC Moore those blocks will cost you 5 bucks each. Totally worth going into Home Depot ( even if it means looking clueless wandering around the wood section...just ask a guy to cut you some 4x4x4 wood blocks!)
These are SO cute and fun, especially if you have kids that are a little bit older. I definitely plan on doing this when I get a few more kiddos under the roof. The main idea of this craft is a countdown to V-day. Every day starting on the 1st of Feb., mommy puts a heart shaped note into each of the kids buckets. You can also randomly put in a treat or small gift ( dollar store!) or a note with a fun activity planned for the day. You can also have the kids write cute notes to each other! Its like their own personal mail boxes! SO fun.

Valentine Hand Print CanvasOk this project melts my heart! Clean & Scentsible has this tutorial on their blog and I love it. It is perfect if you have a little Valentine of your own. She says that she does it every year so that she can preserve her little one's hand prints. I LOVE the idea.
4) Heart Felt Wreath
So I love everything about this wreath! Simple, cute, and inexpensive. 3 of my most favorite things! :) The Idea Room blog has the great tutorial for this one. My friend Ashley actually made this one and hers turned out so great! Im jealous and will be making mine soon!
Here is another variation of the wreath, only its solid instead of cut out. Love them BOTH!
5) Newspaper heart blocks
These heart blocks are super cute and really easy as well! Again, get your wood cut at Home Depot. I love the vintage look of these blocks! You could actually use these year round... they dont scream February to me.
Hope you like these ideas as much as I did! And if you do end up making any of these, take pictures and leave your link in the comments section! Happy {heart} day everyone.
