Jedidiah Clothing: Review & Giveaway!

I am constantly on the lookout for great, quality clothing companies. I love fashion, and I love clothes that not everyone (and their dog)has! I also love companies who are not only in the business for themselves, but for others. Jedidiah Clothing is all of those characterisitics bundled up into one!

Jedidiah has just recently announced the start of their collaboration with StandUp For Kids, their Fall/Holiday partner! StandUp For Kids is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of homeless teenagers and at risk youth. In Fall of 2010 Jedidiah visited the LA, Miami, and New York chapters of StandUp For Kids to discover and document the realities that homeless youth face. The visuals, thoughts, emotions and sentiments experienced on the trip served as the inspiration behind the line. Starting now, proceeds from their clothing will be used to help fund a brand new StandUp For Kids homeless center in New York City.

Jedidiah's style is "surf-style"and although I am not a surfer, I found almost ALL of their clothing appealing! Ranging from mens cardigans and skinny jeans, to womens graphic tees and jackets, there is surely something for everyone here.

I was able to review the Women's Lacey Camel T-shirt! I LOVE it! It is so my style, and I have gotten so many compliments on it. It is made out of 90% modal and 10% silk, so if you have ever felt EITHER one of those fabrics, you KNOW how soft this shirt is! I could seriously sleep in it every night ( I don't) but it is amazingly soft. I love how it has an oversized slouch to it and the large pocket on the front. I am also a lace lover, so this is just right up my alley. I am also in love with this women's Bows Striped T-shirt! The ONLY down side to this shirt is that it is dry clean only...so you have to be aware of that! Not a problem when im taking hubs shirts to the dry cleaners weekly anyway. I love the men's line as well! I can see my hubby wearing many of the items they have to offer. I wish he would wear this attractive Kaleb Thermal Cardigan, but he claims he is not into cardigans. Too bad! I know he would also LOVE any of the men's graphic T-shirts since he IS a T-shirt kind of guy. Among my favorites of the men's graphic tees are the Pavement Charcoal T-shirt and the Viva Silver T-shirt! So different and refreshing.

Eco Lips- Review & Giveaway

Being a Utah native, I have always been a chapstick girl. I always grew up where the weather was dry, and my lips just coulnd't handle it. With that being said, I am a fairly decent critic of lip balms, and I know what I am looking for. When I researched Eco Lips and contacted them about a review, I was super excited when they agreed. Not only are Eco Lips products organic, natural, and environmentally friendly, but they have TONS of different flavors and varieties to choose from! From Vegan, to tinted chapsticks, to completely safe EDIBLE lip balms (great for kids!), they have something for everyone!

I was able to pick 3 choices from what they have to offer in their Eco Lips Store. Here is what I chose, and my thoughts on each.

#1) Eco Lips Restore in Coconut Ginger- This chapstick is great. I was a little hesitant with the flavor since I am not a huge Ginger fan, but I was pleased with the scent! It is refreshing and calming, and I like that! This particular chapstick is a little bit larger in size than your typical size lip balm. It is infused with Tamanu Oil to relieve dry, damaged skin. The tube and cap are also made out of recycled content...pretty cool!

#2) Eco Lips Engery-This is from the specialty line. All I needed to see was "Energy" and I was all over it ( I mean everyone could use a little more of that I think). This lip balm is infused with caffeine, green tea and vitamin B12 which absorbs right into the lips for an extra boost of energy when you are feeling sleepy. It smells amazing, too. It has a great citrus and almost minty smell too it, which definitely stimulates your senses.

#3) Eco Lips Bee Free- To my surprise, this one was my favorite! the Bee Free is 100% Vegan. I think its my favorite because it has a lemon-lime scent, and I just love a good lemon smell. It is clean, fresh, and the texture is amazingly smooth. It doesn't seem sticky or thick like maybe some other chapsticks would. If I had to recommend my favorite, this would be the one.

#4) Eco Lips threw in their Eco Lips Gold on their Eco Lips Carabiner for me as a bonus! This one is great too. It is not scented, vitamin enriched, and again completely organic. This chapstick is for someone who doesn't like scented lip balm( like my hubby) who prefers a more traditional, do the job kind of chapstick. The Carabiner is a great addition as it is great to hook to keychains, diaper bags, or anywhere else for a convenient grab. Cold weather is coming, and now I am ready to battle the dry lips!

Remember, it is just as important to hydrate our lips as it is to lotion and take care of our bodies! Using high quality, organic, and cruelty free chapstick is the best way to do this and our lips will thank us in the long run!

This would make such a great gift for a baby shower, or to take with you to the hospital when you meet your friends baby!

They also just got brand new hats, the Lila and Ruby, which are just solid pink with a pink bow or flower on them. Not the classic hospital look, but equally as adorable.

Kidorable- Review & Giveaway!

True to it's name, Kidorable makes THE most ADORABLE children's items I have ever seen! Seriously! Kidorable takes normal, every day items like rain boots and umbrellas, and turns them into exciting, imagination-inspiring objects that help your child to grow and learn, all while living day-to-day.

From rubber boots, to rain coats, to backpacks, hats, gloves and scarves, Kidorable has got something for every little boy and girl out there. You will love how your little one looks, your little one will love how they look and feel, all while being functional and ready for whatever challenge the day holds for them!

We were able to choose what we wanted to review from Kidorable, and I just couldn't resist the Dinosaur themed items. We were sent the Dinosaur Rain Boots and the Dinosaur Hooded Towel! I love that Kidorable has their rain boots sized for little ones. The smallest they go are size 5 and are called "My First Rainboots." The second I put {B} in his new Dino rain boots, I knew it was love at first sight. He stomped around ( all while my heart was melting all over the sidewalk into a giant puddle) and he wouldn't let me take them off ... until I had to pry them off at nap time. I know these are going to be coming in handy come Fall in North Carolina! We get a lot of rain, I can't wait to see those feet do some puddle jumping!



We also chose to review the Dinosaur Hooded Towel. They also make these in small sizes for the little guys, so we got a size Small and it fits him perfect right now! These towels really come to life when put on the proper way. I loved how it has snaps on the front so it doesn't slide off. It wraps your little one up so nice! There are also little pockets for little hands to tuck into on the "hands" of the towel! I took this to the splash park the other day, and after {B} had been playing for a while, he was so cold he was just shivvering, and his lips were purple! I wrapped him up, snapped it in the front, and he was so happy and warm (and might I add just the cutest little dinosaur I have EVER seen!) I got so many compliments on this towel, I just might have to go order me the Froggy one now!


Last but definitely not least are some of my other favorites, Kidorable's umbrellas. Have you ever gone to the store, and mr. or mrs. independant child wants to hold the umbrella " by myself!" We all know how that scenario ends, which is mommy with sopping wet hair, and little one happily enjoying the rain storm. Well, this is the perfect solution the that problem! Kidorable offers simply adorable umbrellas for children! I honestly can't pick a favorite, but I love the zebra, frog, lotus, and polka dot umbrellas! If you can't find one that you or your child will love, then you are crazy! :) These are definitely on my wish list.

Vintage Retro Shorts- Review & Giveaway

As a mom, I think that sometimes we forget that we are still our own "people." We get so wrapped up in daiper changes, park outings, meals, snacks, nap time, and time-outs, we forget to take care of ourselves. We might not even get a chance to glance in the mirror some days!

I have made it a personal goal to find one thing every day that makes me feel like "me", not just "mommy." Whether it be to take 15 minutes to read a book, put on makeup, excercise, or put on something cute, it is solely for me and it is important to me.


When I came across the Vintage Retro Shorts website, I was so excited to contact them about reviewing their cute shorts! Vintage Retro Shorts sells 100% cotton retro shorts in awesome color combinations. I was able to review the black with white trim retro shorts. They are SO comfortable, and they also make you feel cute, even when you might not look it! I wore them last weekend at a birthday party, we rode this awesome surf machine and I got so many compliments on them! They are perfect for running, walking, or just slipping on to lounge around the house in!



If you are planning on buying a pair of these, the only recommendation that I would have for you is to order a size larger than you normally wear. I normally wear a medium bottom, and they are borderline small for me. A size larger would be just a bit roomier for this mommas bum!
